Helping to reduce distortion to a minimum are four JENO (Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization) engines. JENO works with Space Tune and LAPC to provide optimum performance from the left, right, centre and subwoofer channels. LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration) uses corrective processing to get the perfect alignment with the built-in speakers.

Suits every room with Space Tune
Using the built-in microphone, the SC-C50 measures your room’s acoustics and optimises the sound to suit – giving you perfectly balanced sound in any space. For further tuning you can use an Apple iOS device to measure and compensate the frequency response. Alternatively, use one of the three presets for plug n’ play convenience. ‘Free’, ‘Near Wall’ and ‘Near Corner’ settings tailor the sound to suit.

All-in-one style and convenience
Featuring built-in amp, speakers and multiple sources, the SC-C50 is the complete music solution. Whether you want to stream music using Bluetooth, AirPlay or Chromecast, stream Hi-Res music from your computer or just listen to Internet radio, this flexible Technics has it covered. Optical, analogue and USB connections also make it possible to easily add other sources, too.

Chromecast with Google Assistant
Chromecast lets you stream music, podcasts and audio apps, including Google Play, at the touch of a button. Alternatively, use Google Assistant and this Technics smart speaker becomes part of your voice controlled smart home.

With compatibility for Spotify (Premium account required for full features), Tidal and Deezer, the SC-C50 gives quick and easy access to popular music services. If you prefer subscription free, then simply switch to Internet radio for a vast choice of digital music stations from around the world.

Built-in Apple AirPlay means that you can stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly. If you use another brand of smartphone or tablet then you also have Bluetooth, for easy music streaming from your portable device.

For the highest quality sound use the USB-A interface, connect your PC or Mac and enjoy file streaming right up to 384/32-bit WAV/AIFF, 384/24-bit FLAC/ALAC and DSD 11.2MHz. Use this in conjunction with Hi-Res music services and you will enjoy music realism and definition that’s a cut well above the rest.

Multi-room and stereo pairing*
Download the Google Home App and you can use the SC-C50 as part of a multi-room home entrainment system. Play different music in each room or link all the speakers for ‘party sound’ all around your home – all under the control of your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, use the Technics Audio Centre app and use compatible Technics devices to deliver multi-room sound or stereo pairing of two SC-C50 speakers.
